Beyonce shut down the Superbowl during the half time perfomance in New Orleans yesterday. Literally she shut it down by causing half the stadiums lights to go out. Her performance was filled with pyrotechnic explosions, halograms, singing and you can not forget all that dancing.

It was 13 minutes of straight all out high intensity choreography. Filled with dips, kicks, rolls, turns, all in heels that work every major muscle in the body. Mrs. Carter’s half time performance was one heck of a cardio session working her glutes, quads and core.

Beyonce has admitted before that what helps her stay in shape, and what helped her lose weight after giving birth to her daughter was dancing.

Spice up your cardio session by putting on your heels, turning on the music and dancing away. A one hour dance session in heels can burn up to 800 calories or more.


Celebrities Show Off Their Fit Bodies At The SAG Awards

The red carpet was filled with celebrities showing off their fit bodies at the SAG Awards in Hollywood last night. Although many were probably hoping to make the best dressed lists, here is a list of who we think had the best bodies.

Nicole Kidman was a supporting actress nominee at the award show, but on the red carpet she was more than just a nominee she was a real winner. Looking amazing in her Lacy Vivienne Westwood dress, her thigh high slit showed us that she was doing her lunges

Kerry Washington dazzled in her elegant white Rodarte gown that showed off her waistline. Her slim waist is a true testament getting in those high intensity cardio sessions and eating clean.

Naya Rivera turned heads in her Donna Karen Atelier gown, but what really got everyones attention was her super sleep shoulders and toned arms.

Maria Menounos from Extra TV showed us a little extra with her red hot revealing open back dress from Philip Armstrong. This dare devil dress showed off her backside which is proof that this reporter/pro wrestler has been doing her squats.

Birthday Girl Alicia Keys’ Secret to Looking Good

This past week Alicia Keys celebrated her 32nd birthday in Spain while attending the Prinicipales Awards where she won best American artist/composer of the decade.

As she worked the red carpet, it was obvious to see that she is in the best shape of her life!  After having her first child Egypt, with husband/producer Swiss Beats, Alicia turned to Hollywood trainer Jeanette Jenkins to help her bounce back from her baby body.

Jeanette Jenkins revealed to Katie Couric in an interview that Alicia’s Secret to looking good is kick boxing. One of her favorite combinations is the Double Knee, Jump Kick and back kick. This combo tones the butt, thighs and abs. It also helps boosts your metabolic rate and burns calories all at the same time.

A lot of celebrities are doing the Vegan diet in 2013. Brad Pitt, Ellen Degeneres, Common and Prince are just of few of the celebrities that have publicly admitted to being Vegetarians.

Al Sharpton also attributes his 120 pound weight loss to his newly adopted vegetarian lifestyle.

50 Cent Embraces Chaos In The Gym, & Talks New Fitness Book

Rapper 50 cent has always been on his fitness A game. In almost every one of his videos you can catch him showing off his set of abs with his shirt off. Now, he wants to share his fitness secrets with you in his new book “Formula 50”.

In his book he discusses how after he was shot in 2000 taking care of  his body became his first priority. He explains there are two different six week programs in his book, one for beginners and one for advanced individuals who workout. Each program will show you different workout regimens and healthy nutrition tips.

One tip to get a great workout he says is:

Halle Berry Admits Her Motivation To Staying Fit, Diabetes

In a recent interview with Wendy Williams, Halle Berry was complimented on how she looks just as amazing a she did in 1986, when she won her first beauty pageant.

Esquire’s sexiest woman alive, Playboys sexiest woman of the century, the list of beauty title’s Halle Berry has won goes on and on since her pageant days. However, her reasoning for staying in shape may not be what you think.

“Its only because I’m diabetic honestly, that little disease has kept me conscious about what I eat, what I do, if I workout or not.  It’s really been a really good thing in my life”

Halle Berry has a more severe form of diabetes, diabetes type 1, that can cause one to be insulin dependent.

She explained that being a mother now, her role of staying healthy is even more important to her, not just for her health, but to be there for her daughter Nala.

Over the years Halle has learned how to control and maintain her disease, and is able to eat and indulge a little. Admitting that she eats bacon, even pork.“In moderation that’s the key, all things in moderation” she says.
