Fit With Fallon: My Diet Plan

I posted not too long ago on instagram my before and after photos. I lost 20 lbs in 10 weeks. I had some people asking me what my diet was like, during that process of me losing weight, so here it is.

Now, I didn’t stick to a specific meal plan to a tee. My main focus when it came to food was have a food journal so I could count calories, eat less than 1000 calories a day, and try to stay away from eating a lot of carbs, focusing more on high protein.

There are great apps out there that can help take the guessing work out of counting calories, like calorieking.com. If you tend to eat the same foods, you will get use to how many calories it is, and won’t have to look them up as much, because you will see what it is by writing it in your food journal. I highly recommend a food journal so you can see your progress and really make yourself accountable.

I always did fasted cardio in the AM. Thats when you workout and do your cardio on an empty stomach. I personally feel like, its better to workout on an empty stomach, because you have less food in your stomach to burn, and more fat to bur. After a workout I had a protein shake. I loved making pina colda shakes because of my sweet tooth, it was a great way to satisfy my sweet tooth and hunger pangs. See the rest of my diet plan below;

[Video] Biggest Loser Recap: Ep. 6 “Tailgate Temptation”

I loved this last episode of Biggest loser “Tailgate temptation” because it’s something that we all face. It may be easy to control yourself at home , but when you’rE at a football game tailgating, and there’s buffalo wings, nachos, pizza, hot dogs all staring you in the face, it’s hard to say no.

We see this happen to the contestants on episode 6 of Biggest Loser. Their challenge was to go into a tent for three minutes filled with all your favorite foods to try to get “immunity”, meaning they will have to eat the most calories in the short amount of allotted time and whoever wins, will be safe from being eliminated from that weeks weigh in.

Now, it has been 6 weeks of hard work and dedication for the contestants, and they have been seeing great progress with weight loss but are they willing to mess it up just to be saved from one weeks weigh in?

Rondalee decided she wasn’t even going to let the food tempt her, she spent her time in the tent burning calories instead of eating calories, doing burpees. Woody explained seeing the food was like muscle memory but he called it “food memory”, his desire to pig out suddenly came rushing back to him. But Toma was the one to win immunity by consuming the most calories,  852 calories to be exact in just 3 minutes.

Rob had a breakthrough with Dolvett, explaining he finally loves himself. While Gina admitted to Jesse she was srugggling with being away from her children. The biggest surprise of the show was seeing Mike get sent home from comeback canyon.

Maria Menounos Covers Shape Magazine & Reveals She Is Ready For Kids!

E! Networks new it girl Maria Menouno’s has a body to die for. But it hasn’t always been that way. In this months Shape magazine Maria Menounos talks about her 40 lb weight loss (that’s right). You may not remember seeing her that way, but she sure does. While in college, she packed on more the the freshman 15 but since has lost the weight and kept it off for good.

She recently penned a health and fitness book called Every Girls Guide To Diet and Fitness which instantly became a New York Times Best seller. In this book she reveals her weight loss secrets, one of them she calls her ABM strategy, which stands for “Always be moving.” This fits too well into her on the go lifestyle. But for the days she can’t make it to the gym she makes sure to take the stairs!

There was one more secret Maria revealed, while sharing some healthy lifestyle tips she told Shape magazine to Be brave!

 

“For years I was terrified of having kids. I was afraid I’d love them so much, I’d stop working completely. That all changed after I took a seminar with [motivational speaker] Tony Robbins. ..I had a profound , hysterical crying moment where I realized I was going to miss out on this enormous amount of love,all because of fear. I am finally ready to have children. How about that?”

Idris Elba Flexing on Instagram

Idris Elba is flexing on instagram training for his new film. You would think it was for Magic Mike 2 or Chocolate City by the way he is looking! Those chiselled abs and buffed biceps are working hard to look good in Bastille Day, where he will play a CIA agent.

Idris in this quick instagram clip is showing everyone how a movie star does barbell rollouts. This exercise works not only the abs, but lowerback and shoulders. This is a great way to switch up your ab routine from your everyday crunches and sit ups. 3 sets of 15 reps of slow and controlled barbell rollouts will definitely make you feel a burn and get you one step closer to have Idris worthy abs.

Beyonce’s Thigh Gap Scandal

I come from a land where my thighs have always touched eachother! No matter how much weight I lose. I didn’t even know there were such aspirations to get a “thigh gap” until Wendy Williams spilled the beans about Beyonce’s latest scandal.

Recently while Queen B was vacationing in Milan, she posted a cute and sexy photo of herself in a bikini on her instagram. Now the picture looked innocent at first, but after Wendy’s team took a closer look at it, they noticed her seem to be too perfect to be true  body for just an instragram photo was indeed too Perfect!

Beyonce low key tried to photoshop her legs thinner to appear to have a thigh gap. You can notice where her photoshop skills went wrong when the stairs in between her thighs are blurry. This is a mistake that happens when you are trying to slim pictures in photoshop. (Beyonce deleted this version of the picture so I had to screenshot it from Wendy’s show)

Now, I can understand trying to make your waist look smaller, even the outside of your thighs thinner, but trying create a thigh gap? Have we gone too far?

I had to do some research on this obsession because it even has Beyonce trying to pull a quick one on us. After searching the internet, I found that it is really a goal for many woman to achieve. Even wikihow has a step by step guide to achieving the thigh gap. But, even if you lose the weight some peoples genetics are set up where they will never have one.

Miss Jennai Mai loves to have flawless skin. Here is her Coconut cream juice for dry skin recipe below;

Ingredients:
2 cups unsweetened, dried coconut
3 cups hot water
Flavorings and sweeteners, if desired

Directions:
1. Set up your workspace by placing a colander in a large bowl. Cover the colander with a piece of cheesecloth or a thin kitchen towel (like the flour sack kind).

2. Blend the coconut and hot water for 2-3 minutes or until throughly processed. Pour the mixture into the kitchen towel, twist up, and squeeze as much milk as you can from the towel.

3. Put remaining coconut back into the blender with 1 cup of hot water. Process again, and squeeze more milk out. If you do this a third time, your coconut milk may be very thin. Add sweeteners and flavorings if you like.

4. Store in an airtight jar and refrigerate. Fresh coconut milk doesn’t have the shelf life of regular milk, so use it up in 4-5 days. After sitting in the fridge, the “cream” will begin to separate from the milk. Just shake it up to blend it back together before you use it.

Note: If you’d like to use this as a beverage, thin it out 1:1 with water or until it suits your taste.

Ingredients:
2 cups diced seedless watermelon
1 Lemon
A handful of fresh mint leaves

Directions:

1. Slice up watermelon into cubes

2. Add mint and lemon juice in a blender
