Ruben Studdard Joins The Biggest Loser!

rubenThe world has always known American Idol’s Ruben Studdard as being a big man, with an even bigger voice, but Ruben is ready to change all that. He has officially decided to let the world watch him attempt to get the weight off and compete on NBC’s The Biggest Loser!

After having minimal success in 2006 with weight loss, in which he quit his workout and diet regime after losing just twelve pounds, he has decided to try again.

The first time Ruben tried to lose weight but decided the weight-loss plan was not for him, he made the decision to go vegetarian, which helped him lose seventy pounds.  Now even more motivated than ever with an audience watching, Studdard is going to try once again.  In October 2006, Studdard said,

“On both sides of my family, I have a family history of diabetes and high blood pressure and things of that nature. I just wanted to basically combat those issues at an early age. They’ve never been an issue for me, but I wanted to do it while I was still young, and felt like working out and looking great.”

Whatever the new reason is that made Ruben want to join The Biggest Loser, we will cheer him on starting October 8th on NBC!

BET’s “The Game” is Back! Actor Jay Ellis Talks Fitness, Healthiest Co-star & Attraction To Women Who Workout

Jay Ellis Talks FitnessEven though football season hasn’t officially started yet, it did last night on BET. The TV show called “The Game” is back from a mid-season hiatus premiering it’s eleventh episode. Lead character “Blue” played by Jay Ellis was also back in full effect looking amazing giving both on-screen love interest Kiera and fans at home something great to look at.
We previously caught up with Jay Ellis and talked to him about how he prepared for the role physically, not being shy showing off his body on-screen, which costar is the healthiest of them all and his attraction to women who workout.

Check out the exclusive interview below;

FWF: First episode of the game your character didn’t seem shy showing off his body. How did you prepare physically for the new role?                                                          JE: From the time I got the role until filming began I worked out 4 hours a day: I mixed it up-  cardio, weights, yoga

FWF: You play a football player, did you play any sports growing up?
JE: Basketball, football, soccer, in middle school and high school- I played basketball at Concordia University on a scholarship

FWF: What’s your diet like? Are you a vegetarian?
JE: High protein low fat, a lot clean foods- I eat 4 times a day and make 90% of my meals at home 2 protein shakes  low fat, low sugar

FWF: How do you like being on set with your new cast mates, and who would you say is the most health conscious?
JE: I love being on set- they are a lot of (fun), we get a long really well. Coby Bell eats gluten free, no sugar; he watches what he eats for sure.

FWF: Are you attracted to woman who workout? and if so, why?

Maria Menounos Shows Off Her Toned Abs

Recently, the beautiful “Extra!” host Maria Menounos took to the beach in Greece celebrating her 35th birthday with family and her boyfriend.

Menounos’ toned abs and a lean figure definitely defines this Greek bikini.

Maria once had to strip down into a two-piece on national television when she lost her Super Bowl bet earlier this year, but she had nothing to worry about because it seems this equity stays bikini ready all year long!

To get abs like Maria, we suggest some ab exercises like crunches, sit ups, or side leg raises that work out the sides of your abs for definition. Remember; keep your abs tight when doing this exercise!

Ashley Greene and Vanessa Hudgens Get Their Surf On!

This past week, actresses Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Greene attended the Oakley Bali Pro/Learn to Surf event on the Indonesian Island of Keramas. The two got private surfing lessons from pro surfers Erica Hosseini and Sage Erickson. While getting their surf on, the two girls looked extremely in shape. Vanessa Hudgens told US Weekly how she keeps an amazing body:

“I try to shock the body as often as possible — I think that’s really important,” she said. “I do Soul Cycle constantly, do a lot of Pilates, a lot of yoga for the mind, dancing, kickboxing, hiking. . . anything and everything!”

The Oakley Bali Pro is a surf competition where surfers all over the world compete. This specific competition supports the Reef Check Foundation, which works with reef preservation all over the world.
