New Fitness Trend: Karaoke Cycling


This new cycling class will have you singing your heart out! Literally.

Crunch Gym is putting another exciting new class on the map, this time one that will have you working up a sweat, while you are working those vocal cords.

The Burbank location in California premiered the new class last night as a test to its members. No more worrying about taking in a lot of calories at the karaoke bar drinking your alcoholic beverage of choice, now you can burn calories during your karaoke routine with Karaoke cycling.

This 60 minute long class includes a traditional spin class that incorporates riding on a stationary bike where you climb, and sprint in a not so traditional way. The spin room is similar to what looks like a night club, with glow in the dark and laser lights.

The tunes that you usually ride to, will now also be the tunes that you sing to; Billie Jean, Bad Romance, Lady Marmalade, Oops I did it again are some of the hits you can jam out to in class.

According to an hour of singing can burn up to 100 calories. If you combine that with 800 calories that you can burn from an hour cycling class, you have burned nearly 1000 calories!

Now that’s a workout!
