Kesha Goes Undercover to Workout!

Crazy, fun, and spontaneous are a few words that people would use to describe singer and songwriter Kesha. But little do people know that Kesha is just your average girl trying to fit a workout in her schedule. As if jumping up and down on the stage every night is not enough, Kesha likes to get a run in here and there. She also likes to change things up a bit admitting to Self Magazine,

“I like to mix it up because I get bored easily. I bike, I swim and I love yoga. I also love rock climbing, which I’ve done since I was 16. It’s meditative and great for toning your arms and back.”

Take note people: switch things up in your daily workout and you will never get bored!

Being in the public eye usually means not being able to go out for a run in public places, but instead being enclosed into a gym. But Kesha being the superstar that she is finds a way to get some fresh air. In fact, she usually goes undercover and no one notices her! The twenty-six year old reveals,

“On tour, I usually get offstage around 11 P.M. with the most intense adrenaline rush, so I put my hood on-nobody ever recognizes me-hit the streets and run until I get exhausted. It’s nice to get to actually experience the world and exercise at the same time.”

So next time you are out and about at 11:00 PM, there might be a slight chance Kesha will be running right by you.

Well, nobody would argue that Beyonce gets a HUGE workout every night she hits the stage, but she also makes sure she eats right too!

The Grown Woman singer recently gave fans a tiny peek at her menu while she’s on tour, and not only does the food sound healthy but it also looks DELICIOUS!

Unfortunately we only get a small glimpse of her dinner, but we can see a little bit of the makings of sweet potato, chili and coconut soup! YUMMY!!!

We might have to get a little creative with the rest of the ingredients, but the fact that we have a chance to eat like the queen Bey herself is pretty awesome!

After training for 2011’s Total Recall, Jessica said she had cheat days “once a week at least” when on her meal plan. “It’s the hardest experience, it really is, ’cause you’re eating a lot of boring stuff: chicken breasts and vegetables all the time. But it’s cakes and pastas and breads and sandwiches and croissants (you crave) all the time. That’s all you can think about . . . [so] you don’t crack just slightly, you crack bad. I was with my girlfriends, we were out in New York City for a night, it was the cheat day. I saw Dunkin’ Donuts. I said, ‘Pull the car over, pull over right now!’ We ran in, I got 24 donuts. We went to a pizza joint, and we got two large pizzas. I sat in the car and I put as much bread and dough in my mouth as I could possibly manage. It was the best moment,” she said on the Graham Norton Show.

Sandra’s cheat day is well timed for weekend fun. “I start Friday night and I end Saturday night. But it is not so regimented. I’ll make lists of what I want to eat this week or next week,” she told InStyle. “I love sweets, like Viennese pastry, raw cookie dough, or a nice bowl of Lucky Charms with milk that I eat in bed watching SNL. That’s heaven right there!”

To stay in shape, Beyoncé pays attention to her diet — except on her cheat day. “I do have to work out and watch what I eat,” she told Elle. “I’m not someone who can go crazy. I’ll usually have cereal for breakfast and a salad for lunch and a light dinner, and then on Sundays I’ll allow myself to have whatever I want.”

Fashion Brands spending the Moolah on Plus Size Clothing

A few fashion retailers have taken in to the new plus size craze.

Retailer Modcloth has started to sell a lot of plus size clothing, launching the larger sizes last year.

Their plus size offering now has gained 8 percent of sales because customers who purchase plus size clothing spend more than people that purchase smaller sizes.

The label talked with the Wall Street Journal, saying:

“New plus-size customers spend 25 percent more per order, buy 17 percent more items per order than regular-sized shoppers, and are 66 percent more likely to spreak the ModCloth gospel via social media.”

The size of the average U.S. woman is around size 14, but most fashion labels’ largest size is a 12. But because of this, there is a demand for nice clothes for larger women.

Just recently, retailer Mango announced that they too will launch a plus size collection.

And H&M was also praised for casting a size 12 model in a swimwear shoot without mentioning plus size in the ad. They too joined in the demand, now selling both plus size clothing and swimwear.

Snooki Participates in Mud Run

These days Snooki is definitely taking her health serious by taking many workout selfies, and showing her slimmed body since losing 40lbs after having her baby Lorenzo.

The Jersey Shore actress and fiancé Jionni La Valle participated in a 5-mile mud run with obstacle courses for the Muckfest for MS event in New Jersey.

Although going through the body transformation after having her baby, Snooki admits that the mud race was pretty rough for her, sharing on her Twitter and Celebuzz blog:

“It was so much fun and also for a great cause. The course was filled with middle obstacles along with a 5-mile run! I’m so beat right now, but what an amazing event today!”

Get Laird Hamilton’s Surfer Body Now!

If you have ever wanted a body like world known surfer Laird Hamilton, then here is your chance. Laird recently sat down with Men’s Health Magazine and revealed what he does (besides surfing of course) to keep his body looking spectacular. He claims that people just think he looks as good as he does because of he surfs, but in reality there is a whole other half, which includes the foods he eats. Laird follows ten rules when it comes to eating:

1) Push Start: He starts every morning with a smoothie (recipe below). If you expect to eat healthy throughout the day, you have to start off well.

2) Don’t Graze: Laird makes sure he never eats unless he is hungry. He doesn’t want to indulge in those extra calories especially when they are not needed.

3) Chew Slowly: If you chew slowly, you will get full faster. You also do not eat unnecessary food.

4) Eat Real Food: Laird states, “Be wary of any food that has been created by humans rather than nature. The ingredients on the labels of processed foods, such as the average cracker or potato chip, are mind-boggling. If I don’t know what it is, it’s not going into my body.”

5) Be Diverse: There are many different healthy foods in the world. Make wise choices and do not be afraid to try something new! Each food brings a certain something to your body, so make sure you try a diverse range of food.

6) Experiment: The thing that keeps Laird interested in eating is finding different types of fruits and vegetables are rarely known. He loves trying unique things that can only be found in certain places.

7) Listen to your body: Cravings, cravings, cravings; story of everybody’s life, and when people crave, it is usually sugary foods. Laird admits that when he craves something sugary and sweet, he turns to fruit such as pineapple and papaya.

Star of Laguna Beach and The Hills, Kristin Cavallari, has always been very healthy. With daily workouts and her healthy diet, she can maintain her very fit body. One thing Kristen turns to is a green tea latte, which she adds almond milk to.

The matcha green tea powder is very unique and usually is grown specifically in Japan. It has many antioxidants and is very rich in nutrients and fiber. According to matchasource.com,

“The health benefits of matcha exceed those of other green teas because matcha drinkers ingest the whole leaf, not just the brewed water. One glass of matcha is the equivalent of 10 glasses of green tea in terms of nutritional value and antioxidant content.”
