VIBE VIXEN The Gun Show: Celebrity Vixen’s With The Best Arms

Vibe Vixen online asked me for my expertise this week on how to get amazing sculpted arms like your favorite celebrities. So I prescribed 5 different exercises that will get your arms in shape like Kelly Rowland, Michelle Obama, Eva Longoria, Halle Barry, and Regina King. Check out a snippet of the article below;

We focus so much on shrinking belly fat and toning our butts that we forget about building killer arms. These 5 Vixen’s have been hitting the gym to flaunt their sexy arms in hot sleeveless dresses. We tapped Celebrity Fitness Reporter and Personal Trainer Fallon Mercedes (@FitWithFallon) to teach us at-home moves to shape Vixen-worthy arms.

1. Kelly Rowland

Kelly’s tricep definition gives her arms a toned and lean appearance. Also notice, no bra bulge!

Fallon Recommends: Tricep Kickbacks for Kelly’s defined tri’s (3 sets of 12 repetitions). If you’re a beginner, start off with 2-5 lb weights, intermediate and advanced pick a weight that is still a challenge after getting up to 10 repetitions.

Jennifer Hudson Talks About Her Weight Loss Journey

Picture 1

Jennifer Hudson has been flaunting her amazing figure on almost every Weight Watchers commercial, and after losing 80 pounds, I say strut your stuff!

She admits she still can’t believe her new body. She opens up about her weight loss journey in Lucky magazine, explaining how growing up she was unaware of her weight issue.

“The first time I was asked to lose weight (on American Idol), I was like, What? Where I come from, I was never considered particularly curvy”.

With the help of counting points, the key component used in the Weight Watchers weight loss plan, mixed with a consistent exercise regimen, Jennifer was able to lose weight, and keep it off for good.

A major priority for Jennifer right now is maintaining her weight, so she continues to count points because its flexible, and gives her the ability to still eat whatever she wants, but in more controlled moderations.

Her biggest challenge so far is self control;

“My son, he wants pizza, so okay, I make him a Margarita pizza, and then he doesn’t eat it, so I have some, and then that’s eight points..that gets tricky”.

The best part of losing weight she explains, is all the clothes she can now wear;

“With my new weight, it’s like I have room to play-It’s like I’m my own doll, dressing myself up. All of a sudden, a shirt can be a dress, you know”

Olympian Ryan Lochte’s Most Innovative Workouts

Olympian Ryan Lochte knows how to work.

I was able to catch up with the competitive swimmer and eleven time olympic medalist on the red carpet a couple months ago at the Hall Of Game Awards, and he told me he was going hard working out prepping for the next Olympics, but the videos below definitely prove it!

Nissan Innovation is a new endurance community that captures the most athletic and fit individuals, and put together a series of videos, showcasing them running, cycling and training during workouts.

The pictures and videos below show the world record holding swimmer Ryan Lochte with his Strength and Conditioning coach Matt Delancey demonstrating one of his workouts; Box Jumps.

To build speed and power, try this full-body plyometric move. It will build strength in your upper body, core, and legs. Keep your core tight as you do the move for 6 sets of 3 reps each, jumping up onto a box about 40 inches high (start lower and progress if you need to). You can add a medicine ball (30 to 40 pounds) to do medicine ball slams, for more of a challenge (slam the ball as you jump and then catch it). This adds “chaos” to the mix so you’ll continue to see gains.

Celebrities Dish How They Find The Time To Workout

You think you’re too busy to workout, how about celebrities?

From performing, to traveling, to walking the red carpet in kick arse shape, how do the famous find the time to squeeze in a workout during their hectic schedules?

Self magazine caught up with a couple of the hottest and fittest females in the entertainment industry to get their insight on how they make room to workout to stay carpet ready.

Alicia Keys “I will drop and do 100 push ups just to feel strong. I’ll even do it when I’m fully dressed, to my stylist dismay”

Carrie Underwood ” I watch my salt intake- it helps me shed the extra water weight”

Carly Rae Jepsen “When I’m on tour; I run the stairs at arena venues. The crew must think I’m nuts!”

Ellie Goulding “I try to do 150 sit-ups every day. Only 50 of those are productive, which is why I do a lot”

Wow, Alicia being able to do 100 push ups straight, while she’s wearing her designer clothes now that’s impressive.

If celebrities can find ways to fit a workout in their busy schedules, so can you! During your lunch break at work, or in between studying for school, take time out to do a couple sets of push ups, planks, and sit ups.

Ciara’s Leg Workout

Ciara is killing The Game.

Literally, she killed it in the season premiere of The Game when she kicked off the opening scene.

The first scene showed an amazing set of legs slowly strut down the hallway to Malik’s hotel room. It had everyone anticipating who did these hot set of legs belong too?

Turns out it was Ciara.

As one of the new cast members on The Game, she puts on display her acting chops, and also lots of leg. Playing herself, a singer, who is very comfortable in her own skin, and knows she can have any man she wants (even newly drafted football player Blue), She uses her fit body, to get a mans attention and to seal the deal .

In real life Ciara displays a lot of motivation going from the singing stage and now to the acting stage, all while keeping up with her fitness. So what motivates a highly driven woman to be in such great shape?

Ciara says in a Health Magazine interview that her motivation comes from herself, and the game of sports. While working out, she enjoys watching ESPN. “I have so much respect for athletes like LeBron James. I get motivation from them because I know how many hours they put into it. It takes a lot of hard work and drive.”

After years of being dedicated to working out, she lets the results give her satisfaction. “There’s nothing better than seeing results,” she says. “That’s more motivating than anything.”
